Now that the New Year is here it’s time to get your workout on and what better time to review some new fitness gear than right now. I was recently contacted by the creators and founders of GG Shorts to test out and review their workout shorts. I am always eager to try out new apparel for my training so this was a win. Their workout shorts are much longer than the typical workout shorts you find in sports stores or online, so for ladies who want a bit more coverage when working out these might be right up your alley.
Their website is now live but they are not yet selling the shorts or taking orders, but what you can do is sign up to receive emails when the apparel becomes available. Right now their website www.GGshorts.com says they will be available staring in March 2016. The style is not one that I am used to wearing, I usually wear working leggings and tights and shorter shorts, but these are surely great for women who want a bit more of a modest and movable short. You can wear these and feel confident without feeling self conscious.
Their shorts have a hidden pocket which you can use to put your car keys or iphone and connect your headset. There is also an adjustable tie string band inside to make the shorts tighter at the waist if needed. I am wearing size small and they fit me perfectly. As for the rest of my outfit I am wearing a pair of hot pink Nike Lunarglides, Black and Lime Green Nike Pro Half Zip and Adidas Women’s Grey Workout Hat.
They also sent an awesome workout towel which is a must have when you are lifting. I always like to bring a workout towel with me to the gym so I can wipe off equipment. Their workout towel has a zipper pocket on the inside so you can put your keys or anything else during your workout so you don’t lose anything.
II What’s the difference between GG Shorts and other performance shorts?
More coverage – the shorts have a minimum of a 6″ inseam
Ultra comfort – soft, flexible and breathable material
Carry your stuff – a pocket to hold your keys, cash or cards
Cool and Dry – sweat wicking performance
Reduce chaffing – flatlock seams and no tags
I was impressed with the quality of the material and the stitching on these shorts. They felt super comfortable and I could move in them very easily. If you are looking for a longer workout short these are a great option! One thing I always stand by is you should feel good in your workout clothes. If they feel too tight you will just feel uncomfortable so whichever brand you wear make sure it’s something you feel your best in! Below is a full gallery of additional images to see the shorts.
Feel free to follow them online to stay up to date on when the site will begin taking orders (twitter.com/ggshorts & instagram.com/ggshorts)
