I am really excited to have some time today to head to the gym and also film a new video for you guys! It’s been over a week since I posted a video to my YouTube and I have been so busy with work and also just lots of stuff happening in my personal life so I haven’t been as on top of my filming and blogging but I have so much more time now. In the last week I have been dedicating my workouts to a new fitness program which I have blogged about recently so I’ve been trying to focus on getting into the routine of that. I also haven’t been able to work out in the morning like I usually do, so my workouts have been happening later at night, after work, and my gym is so crowded at night that it’s a bit uncomfortable for me to bring my video camera in their to film. I will really only film in the gym if it is empty or with 1-2 people, otherwise I feel really strange to do so. I also film my workouts alone so I don’t have someone with me who can kind of shoot me when no one is watching, so it’s all a production that I work to master. Now, onto this video – it focuses on the leg day exercises that I did today. I was a bit all over the place and just attacked some of my favorite exercises in no particular order but it’s good to at least give you some ideas. I also wanted to chat for a bit in the video about what pre and post workouts I have been using since I have had some ladies on Instagram and Twitter ask what I am currently using. Keep in mind these opinions are my own and these are just what happens to work for me. I was not paid to endorse these products, I just happen to be using these now and like them and their results paired with my training. I hope you enjoy the video and feel free to ask any questions in the comments below.
Overall my words of advice are make sure that you know what feels right for your body. If some of these exercises do not feel right to you, I suggest taking off all the weight and practicing form. If you are not familiar with using a Smith Machine then you should try these with no weight at first. It is a machine that can cause injury if you don’t use it properly especially for squats. You are supposed to stand a little farther away from the bar and sit back into the squat, do not put your feet directly under the bar. Also, as with any lower body workout, be mindful of your knee not passing over your toes. This is true with walking lunges as well as squats. You want to never have your knee past your toes, proper form is so important.
Exercises I did for this workout include:
Standing Smith Machine Back Squat (low weight and higher weight)
Stiff Leg Dead Lifts with Kettle Bells
Walking Kettle Bell Lunges
Smith Machine Hip Thrusters
Smith Machine Kneeling Back Squats
Smith Machine Leg Press
Plank Knee to Elbow Ab Exercise
Assisted Pull Up Machine Push Downs
Elevated Goblet Squats
Back Squat Using EZ Curl Bar (my gym does NOT have an Olympic Bar, therefore this is the only way I can do a free standing squat. While it is not ideal it works for me.)

Thanks so much for visiting. I hope you can use some of these next time you go to the gym. As mentioned I am currently doing a workout program so this was a throw in on top of that to focus on legs. I do legs 2 times a week and lately my focus is one day of heavier lifting and one day of medium weight at higher reps. Always do what works best for you, but if your goal is to grow that booty you have to keep increasing the weight and lowering your reps over time. Also I highly encourage you to drink some form of an amino / BCAA drink if you are lifting legs as the day later and sometimes two days later you will experience soreness or DOMS (Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness). Good luck!

I tried the Cellucor C4 for the first time and love it! I’m very sensitive to caffeine and surprisingly it didn’t bother me.
That’s awesome so glad to hear, yeah it doesnt bother me either 🙂
