Before you know it the summer and bikini season will be here, so now is the time to start training your stomach. I aim to workout my core 2-3 times a week with at least 20 minutes of abdominal work. I shot this quick video to show you some basic exercises you can do now to start preparing for six pack season. You can do these at home or in any small space with little to no equipment. Working out your abdominals isn’t just good for looks, but it’s crucial for the entire body. From your posture to your ability to flex and bend, having a strong core is everything! Your abdominals also help to protect your organs and spine so strengthening them like any other muscle is very important. Many women ask “how do I lose belly fat?” or “how to I get cut abs” and overall most of it is losing and dropping body fat overall. You can never see your abs if they are covered in fat, so it will take time to see them underneath, but it doesn’t mean you should stop strengthening them.

As for workout gear I have become absolutely obsessed with Under Armour workout pants and leggings! They are so soft and comfortable. I have a few pairs now and they really are my favorite to wear, I think I wear them the most recently of all my fitness pants. I wear a size small in most workout pants and a size 4 in LuLu Lemon but I don’t own many of their stuff since it’s quite pricey!
