Who created Fashion Pow Wow? Meet Shirley!
Where do you live in NJ? I was born, raised and currently live in Brooklyn, NY.
What got you started in fashion? I love how fashion makes one feel. To me, it’s like releasing endorphins, especially when I find a good buy.
How did you come up with the idea to create a clothing company? I’m a professional copywriter. I get paid to create and use words day in and day out. I see this clothing company as another real estate where I can display my words and share my thoughts with the world.
What’s your favorite place to do brunch in NJ? I haven’t done brunch in NJ yet but that’s on my to do list. I frequent Café Lulec in Brooklyn, NY. I love their pancakes.
What is something about you people might not know? Hmm, one of my favorite movies is “Hello, Dolly” starring Barbara Streisand. Also, I love show tunes.
Where do you see Fashion Pow Wow going in the next 1-3 years? Years from now, I want apparel from Fashionpowwow to be in several department stores and boutiques.
Any advice for other fashion entrepreneurs reading this now? The same creativity that led you to become a fashion entrepreneur let that guide in taking your brand to new heights. Don’t be afraid to think outside of the proverbial box to let the world know about your brand.

Now let’s get a little personal here, the creator of this line, though she is way too sweet and humble to admit it, is doing some seriously amazing work with this line of clothing. Not only is she a full time copywriter, cranking out fantastic work for major companies, she launched this line and is juggling a million things. You might remember me wearing the Yoga Snob tank top on one of my workout videos and also on my SnapChat (MissADS1981 come find me!). It’s so comfy and fits really wel.
