Wedding season is in full swing and I am so excited that one of my closest girlfriends is going to be tying the knot to her beau of over 10 years this coming September. Kelly is one of those girlfriends who has been there with me through so many amazing moments in the last decade – we spent our summers down the Jersey Shore, made memories every single birthday, Halloweens, holidays, happy hours and ladies nights. She’s been one of my “ride or die” girls forever so today at her bridal shower I was so happy to see her being showered with love from her friends and family.
Her theme was Kate Spade since she loves her but also loves polka dots and it turned out to beautifully! I wanted to share some images of all the wonderful details the girls put together for her party since it turned out perfectly.
Kate Spade is all about black and white and bold colors like greens and hot pink. For her party the girls did black, white, gold and hot pink which looked amazing in the room. Her party was held at Costa Del Sol in Union, New Jersey and it was a great venue full of beautiful natural light which is always good for photos. Her dessert table was set up with tasty treats like “XO” macaroons, a gorgeous 3 tier cake from The Cake Artist Cafe in Cranford, NJ and delicious cake pops.
Look at how beautiful the cake pops were with the gold sprinkles and the pink and black bow ties. The macaroons were strawberry flavored and such a nice touch with the gold X’s and O’s on top. The gold painted mason jars filled with pink fresh flowers looked gorgeous and guests could take them home at the end of the party too.
For the party favors nail polish bags with polka dot nail files got all the guests excited. There were a variety of pinks, reds and purples to choose from with beautiful thank you tags attached in a small cinch bag. The table looked really pretty and was a nice touch since this is a favor everyone can enjoy.
As you can see the black, white and gold polka dot theme was used throughout the shower with so many thoughtful details. For a guest book a black and white image from the couple’s engagement shoot was used and a Sharpie marker provided for ladies to sign. This is something that can be put up in their home and looked at as a wonderful reminder of the day and the memories of her bridal shower. You can pick up a large frame like this for signing at any party or wedding and is something fun for guests to do to leave a nice note for the couple to read later on.
At each table more gold mason jars were filled with fresh flowers and guests enjoyed some red sangria and had the chance to fill out bridal shower bingo sheets to play some fun games while the bride opened her gifts. The prizes were in polka dot gift bags with items like EOS pink lip balms, EOS pink body lotion, pink nail polish, pink candles and pink colored gum and candies.
For gift wrap there was perfectly matched black and white wrapping paper and hot pink. These looked so cute on the gift table. She also received lots of Kate Spade presents like the polka dot Kate Spade passport book, Kate Spade his & hers luggage tags and Kate Spade fine china. My gift was put together along with my best friend Sylvia and it was an entire honeymoon themed basket for their trip to Aruba. I loved the idea of putting together a gift with a theme and since we knew they were going to Aruba we got so many cute items to go with that theme including an Aruba candle from Bath & Body Works, Aruba Blue Essie nail polish, polka dot travel pillow, beach cover up dress, flip flops, bride tank top, beach towel, all the necessary lotions, travel set, blue and white beach bag, bathing suit sarong and so many other adorable things.
The bride also wore the most adorable matching polka dot dress and hot pink shoes. She looked absolutely stunning, it was just so perfect. And hanging on the wall was a “Future Mrs.” sign which is something that made for a perfect backdrop for photographs with friends, family and the bridal party.
The day was wonderful and I am super excited to celebrate with Kelly in September for her wedding day. If you are planning a Kate Spade themed bridal shower I hope these images give you some inspiration. The cake was red velvet and made by The Cake Artist in Cranford, NJ if you’re looking for a beautiful themed caked. Her shower invitations were also black and white Kate Spade themed as well and the balloons in the room were polka dot too – not one detail was overlooked!
