Welcome back for another edition of leg day – my favorite day of the week in the gym! For many people it’s a day they hate but for me it always motivates me to push a bit harder and dig a bit deeper to reach my goals. I love leg day because there are so many exercises that you can do so every time I go into the gym to train lower body I am doing something different. If you wrote down all the exercises you could do to target your glutes, hamstrings, quads and calves you would have a really long list. For me I love to switch it up and try new things so that I never get bored. Today’s workout was a bit of a progression workout – meaning I started with lighter weight and higher reps and then decreases the reps and added more weight each time.
All of the exercises were done in super sets and for 5 sets. I definitely felt the burn and was slightly sore the next day but that’s why I am always drinking BCAA’s to help with recovery. I love the Pineapple flavored Amino Energy the best as well as BodyTech Critical Aminos which I sip during and after my workouts. After I finished this routine I did a slow, high incline walk on the treadmill to cool down and then was off to face the day. Today I used the above products to help with my workout:

Here is a snapshot of the main exercises I did today for leg day using the Smith Machine, Dumb bells and I also did some cable kick backs which you see in the video using some padded ankle straps.
